Short version: Smoothy Sound does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of your personal data. All audio processing happens locally in your browser, and all settings are stored only on your own device.

1. What the extension does

Smoothy Sound is a Chrome extension that boosts tab/page volume and enhances audio using a local 10-band equalizer, a limiter, presets, smart loudness leveling, and per-site volume/preset memory. All of this processing happens entirely inside your browser using the Web Audio API.

2. Data we collect

None. Smoothy Sound does not collect any personal information, browsing history, audio content, or analytics data. The extension does not contain any tracking, advertising, or telemetry code, and it makes no network requests of any kind.

3. Data stored locally

The extension uses Chrome's local storage (chrome.storage.local) — never sync or any remote server — to remember, only on your own device:

• Your equalizer, volume, and preset settings
• Per-website volume/preset preferences (so a site "remembers" your settings), stored by domain name only
• General extension options (e.g. enabled/disabled, night mode)

This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to us, to any third party, or to any server. Uninstalling the extension removes this data.

4. Permissions we use

• storage — to save your settings locally, as described above.
• sidePanel — to show the extension's side panel controls in Chrome.

Smoothy Sound does not request access to your browsing history, tabs content, cookies, or any host permissions beyond running its local audio-processing script on the page you choose to use it on.

5. Third parties

We do not share data with third parties because we do not collect any data to share. There are no embedded analytics SDKs, ad networks, or external APIs in this extension.

6. Children's privacy

Smoothy Sound is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from any user.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version adds an optional feature that stores data differently), we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
